England, 1959. Free-spirited widow Florence Green (Emily Mortimer) risks everything to open a bookshop in a conservative East Anglian coastal town. While bringing about a surprising cultural awakening through works by Ray Bradbury and Vladimir Nabokov, she earns the polite but ruthless opposition of a local grand dame (Patricia Clarkson) and the support and affection of a reclusive book loving widower (Bill Nighy). As Florence's obstacles amass and bear suspicious signs of a local power struggle, she is forced to ask: is there a place for a bookshop in a town that may not want one? Based on Penelope Fitzgerald's acclaimed novel and directed by Isabel Coixet (Learning to Drive), The Bookshop is an elegant yet incisive rendering of personal resolve, tested in the battle for the soul of a community.

A great movie with a great story. Can not believe it's been so long since I saw it. Very slow at times but the story was good and it was a great story. It was a very good movie and it has a great story. I just wish it was a little bit more interesting but it was a great movie and I recommend it to everyone who likes good movies.

After reading the reviews I had high hopes for this film, I went to the theatre with low expectations. I left the theatre still wondering about the whole thing, but at the same time I was very glad I went. The film is great. It's a great story, great actors and great direction. The story is compelling, it's an intense experience. It's about someone who is thrown into a situation that he doesn't want to be in and is forced to find his own path in life. He finds that a sense of identity is more important than any of the other things he has. I liked the film and it's not perfect, but it's really good. The performances were great, the story was great and the direction was great. It's a great film and I recommend it to anyone who wants to be moved. If you don't like films that are very emotional, this is not for you. If you don't like that sort of film then this isn't for you. This is a great film and I recommend it to anyone who likes a good film. I'm going to go see it again. Good film. 8/10.

My wife and I were completely taken aback by this film. I am so used to seeing beautiful and well acted films that give a serious and nuanced view of the Vietnam War. This film was very much more than that. This film is about what happened at the end of the war. There are no villains. The hero is not a figurehead who protects the population. Instead, this is about a town, a group of people and a townspeople who's war has resulted in death, destruction and what some see as a gradual decay. I cannot understand how this film was rated so poorly. It is definitely not for the easily offended. I can not understand the amount of people who hated this film. I think that is sad because the movie did more than just tell a very human story about a small town and people who lost their lives. It also had an important message for the country. I think the makers of this film, who obviously are good people, have learned a very important lesson. This film made me think about the war, and what it did to people who lived through it. This film does not take sides. It shows the good and the bad in the human condition, and shows us what it is like to lose someone very dear to us. It also shows us the true colors of our country, and how some people's love of war can destroy the peace and harmony of the country. It does not get any better than this.

The Bookshop is a very interesting film, and is one that I strongly recommend to anyone who enjoys a good look at the world of books. Although this film is not in the same league as the likes of The Truman Show or even The Truman Show: The Fall, it is still a very good film, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. In the beginning, I had a very hard time taking this film seriously, but I was really impressed by how this film progressed. I was expecting the film to be slow, but it actually kept me entertained throughout. The cast was fantastic, with the likes of Edward Woodward, Josh Brolin, Matt Smith, William H. Macy, Alex Rocco, and John Hawkes all putting in a great performance. The story was very compelling, and kept me intrigued throughout the film. Although the film did get a little too preachy, it didn't detract from the film too much, and in fact, helped the film out a little bit. Overall, I would recommend this film to anyone looking for a good look at the world of books. It was a fantastic film, and I am very happy that I went to see it.

This is not the movie I was expecting to see. I went to see it for the first time not expecting much. But I left thinking I wanted to see it again and again. It was moving, with a wonderful message of forgiveness, and a lot of heart. I felt so sorry for the characters, and their struggles, and I hope that someday we can all find a way to forgive. This movie will stay with me for a long time. It's one of the best films I've ever seen. The story is so moving, and I loved it.

A character named Tilly has a dark secret, as does Tilly's best friend Tom, played by James D'Arcy. These two are one of the main characters in the movie The Bookshop. The Movie is about the friendship between Tilly and Tom, and the relationship of these two friends to one another. I would say that the movie is a little bit better then I expected, I was expecting to see a poorly written, terrible movie. I was right, the movie was quite good, I would say it is worth the time to watch, but the movie would have been better if it was written better. I would recommend this movie to everyone who likes a good, funny, action movie, or a good romantic movie, this movie is definitely worth your time, and I give the Movie an 8/10. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes to watch a good, funny, action movie, or a good romantic movie.

In the middle of the desert, in the 1960s, in a tiny village in Australia, a set of children are waiting for a bus to go to school. Two of the children - Dylan (Sam Rockwell) and Jack (Michael Caine) - are destined to die. However, they have saved the lives of their mother, her sister, and their brother, Jack's brother. To do this, they have joined an adventure to a mysterious hotel in the country. The siblings' journey is the central theme of this very good film. The characters are very well-drawn, especially the mother and the father. This is one of the few films that has no problem with colour or bad language, and that is a good thing. The script is witty and funny. But it is also a very good film, with a very strong central message that is worth of watching. Also, it is a very fine film that will be recommended to those who love good cinema.

I'm not sure how many people are reading this review. But I saw the movie on the big screen and it was quite good. In fact I don't think it was quite as good as I thought it would be. It's not a bad movie at all. It's just a movie, and I guess that's why it wasn't quite as good as I thought it would be. The characters are well developed, the acting is good, and the story is well constructed. It's not an original movie. But it's a movie that has a lot of atmosphere and some kind of emotional value. I think it's worth seeing, just because of the atmosphere and for the story. I don't think it's a great movie, but it's not bad. But not a great one either. It's just a movie, and it's better than most of the Hollywood movies that get made nowadays.

It's a quiet film about a group of people who gather together for a book signing in a country house for the weekend. The owner of the house, David, a man in his 50s, is a fan of the book, the protagonist, Rebecca, and so he invites a few friends to accompany them on their book signing. The rest of the group are just looking for a weekend in their home country and there are some lovely ladies there with them. The film has an unusual ending, with the movie going from being a series of interviews and gossip to a real documentary about the author herself. It's not an easy film to watch, especially if you're not very familiar with the author, but it's a good film, with a lot of personality and interest.

This is not the kind of film that will entertain you for hours. It is more of a study of characters and how they are affected by their personalities. It's a slow film. There are a lot of characters and it's not really clear who's who and why. I thought it was very interesting to see how things work out for certain people. I especially liked the ending.

This is an intelligent, intelligent film. The problem with many films today is that they're poorly executed and tend to be easy to pigeonhole, but not so much with this film. It's interesting to note that the writer and director, Don Cheadle, is also the cinematographer and producer. That alone makes this a good film, but what makes it so good is the story and the execution. The story is a basic one, but executed well. It's about a woman, Jane, who finds a copy of the Bible on a shelf. She then, by the power of prayer, learns that the world is about to end, and she is going to be "praised" as the new messiah, or "saint". She is, in fact, the "messiah" of the title. She and her daughter are therefore the last people on earth. But there are other people who are going to be born as saints, but will live longer than any others. There is a movie playing on TV, "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" where they try to get a cartoon star to appear as a saint. Jane sees this as an opportunity to help the world, but not all of it is pleasant. And while watching it, I wondered whether Cheadle was going to be directing an episode of "Mystery Science". There are a few jokes that don't work, but overall, I was impressed with the story, the acting, and the way it was presented. I really like this film and would recommend it to anyone. It's not a perfect film, but it's one that will appeal to most people. I think the best thing about this film is the way it's presented. While there are plenty of movies with their own visual style, the way it's presented here is very interesting. This is the first time I've seen the movie, and I like it.

I recently saw this film and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I am a big fan of movies and books, so I am familiar with the premise of the film, so it was easy to get into the story and I was not disappointed. I especially liked the performances of the two lead actors. I think that the main problem with the film is that the film is too slow, and it drags and drags and drags and drags. The story itself is a well known, if not the most popular one, and it should have been more exciting, and it isn't. In my opinion, it is too slow, and I found the characters very dull and uninteresting. However, the characters of the film are very well developed, and I liked them, so it isn't too bad. The film's style is also a little confusing at first, and it might be hard for someone who hasn't read the book to follow. But once the film starts to get interesting, and there is a more clear style of the film, it becomes clear that the film is actually very good. The photography is excellent, and it has an interesting visual style. The film is very atmospheric and it feels like you are in a different time. I also liked the fact that the film doesn't feel like a film, it feels like a documentary, so you get the feeling that you are in the time that the characters are in, and it also gives a feeling of isolation. The film also has a dark feel to it, and that was very interesting to me. Overall, I thought that this was a very good film, and I would recommend it to anybody who has an interest in the book and has a decent attention span. I also recommend it to people who haven't read the book, because it is very interesting. I also recommend it to people who are looking for a movie that has an interesting and complex plot, and I think that it is a good movie. I would rate it 7.5/10.

I think that it is a great movie to watch, it is really really moving. The movie is based on a true story and shows how the town of Lawrenceburg in Ohio was affected by the Civil War. The movie shows the life of the town and how people went about their daily lives, they were always worried about their lives and were always talking about the future and how they will deal with the Civil War. It is great to watch and shows how people in the town reacted to the war. Overall I think this movie is great and a must see.

I don't think this is a bad movie. It has a good story and it is directed well. However, it is a very predictable movie. This is not a bad thing. It is something that I can live with. But in the end, I was very disappointed. And I guess that is a good thing. This movie is very good at what it is trying to do, but it fails to achieve it. I don't think it was a movie that was made to win awards, but to be watched. This is a good movie, but it was not something I would watch again.

I have never read the book of this film, but I found it fascinating and very different from the book. The story is told by a man who owns a bookstore and is in the process of moving. He is a very kind person who has a love for books, and he will do anything to ensure that they are sold. He has a love for his book, and is willing to go to any length to ensure that his book is sold. He is a kind and patient man. When he is told that a woman has found an old copy of a book he owned, he goes into great lengths to ensure that his book is sold. This is a very slow and well thought out film. The actors do a very good job of portraying the characters. They are quite realistic. I think that this film would have worked well on TV. The story is told in a series of short segments which are all interesting. There are some good surprises at the end. The movie is worth seeing if you are a book lover. This is a very unique film that is worth seeing.

This is a very sad story of a young man that is very passionate about his work. As a community he is very open to people and is very happy and proud of the work he does. As the story goes on, the story is also sad, but this is the story of a great artist. The music is also very good and the colors are very vivid. There is a good acting and a good story that is unique and very enjoyable. There are also some aspects of the movie that you can watch with your children and enjoy. One of the main things that this movie is about is the commitment of the artist to his work and the dedication of the community to him. I recommend this movie to everyone that has a good sense of humour and a strong love for the arts.

I really wanted to like this film but the very end, which I will not give away, was just awful. I mean, I really wanted to like this film. The acting was decent and the direction was very good. But, the ending was just awful. It was as if the director didn't know what to do with the story. The ending was just so sudden. And I thought the ending was just terrible. I just don't think it was very realistic. I don't know why this film is rated so high on IMDb. I know it's just a movie and it's supposed to be very dramatic and interesting. But the ending was just horrible and it was just not very realistic. It was just completely unrealistic. This film is definitely worth watching but don't expect a good film, it's not that good. Just a film that is worth watching. And that's it. There was nothing really amazing about this film.

I don't understand why this movie is rated so low. I think the director did a great job, and I think it deserves to be in the top ten movies of all time.

After having been 'acquainted' with the stories of various 'true story' movies and read several of them, I was keen to see how this one would compare. Having not read the book and therefore being only vaguely familiar with the character of Anthony and his girlfriend, I thought it would be a simple enough story to 'firm up' my opinion of the film. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There was a lot of 'homage' to the movie 'Brick', which I didn't know at the time and therefore don't feel qualified to compare to. It is well worth seeing, and I'll definitely be looking for it on DVD, so that I can keep up with the next film in this series.

I was very disappointed in the film because it was not what I expected. I love books, I love movies, I love to read them. But this film is not the book that I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be much more dark and graphic, but it wasn't. I felt it was just a book on a screen. There are some good things in it, but nothing spectacular. There is a scene that was so good, I cried. It was just so real. I felt like I was in that room with the girl, and it was just so sad. It was so real. I really enjoyed it, but it's not the book. I think the actors did a good job, but I think it could have been better. I think it's not the book, but it's the movie. I don't know why it is rated so highly. I give it an 8/10.

I loved this film. It was real and heartfelt and moving. I couldn't stop thinking about the characters, the problems they had, and the hardships they faced. I loved it! I would recommend this film to anyone who is looking for a good film, and I'm glad I saw it.
