John Cho and Aaliyah have some of the best scenes together in the movie. They are still good. The fight scenes between Cho and Aaliyah are good and it has a little romance too. All in all this movie was good.

After seeing the trailer, i thought that this movie was going to be another man vs women boxing movie. I wasn't disappointed. However, to be honest, it is just a funny movie with a serious plot. Although its a little slow sometimes, it is still entertaining. Swayze and Weathers look pretty cute together. The acting is good, although you will be able to guess most of the movie. The only bad part about the movie is that i wish that it would have been longer, which makes it seem a little rushed. Overall, it is not a bad movie, its just a little slow in the beginning. Enjoy it if you can.

Unable to stay fit and kick a career after the tragedy of his wife's death, boxer William Devlin (Joe Anderson) moves to the city to train in a gym. He meets a young girl, a loner, named Sarah (Hilary Swank) and convinces her to work in a bordello owned by Evie (Laura Linney). He falls in love with Evie and the two get engaged. This is a sad film, not because of the unfortunate event. The tragedy is not the subject, but rather the reasons for it. Some may say Devlin was a pitiful loser, but he was the product of the social conditions. Evie was left behind to raise her baby, while her parents were living on a remote farm. Many in the town didn't like this arrangement, so Devlin was exiled to the big city where he was not wanted. In the meantime he did some crime to support his family. It's hard to make a film about people who are beyond redemption. If you don't know the names of the main characters, the movie is not for you. The sad thing is that Billy Crudup did the best he could with a very limited script. All his attempts to make a different movie, were in vain. I'll give him credit for trying, but his character was too weak. The beginning was very intriguing, but I did not care for it. It really got me into the movie, but by the time it was over I really felt bad for the guy who fell for the bitch. They have good songs, but they don't really work. I recommend this to people who like crime dramas, but other than that, I don't recommend it.

This movie is really well directed. The actors portrayed their roles well. I was looking forward to this movie since a friend of mine said it was one of his favorites. I love this movie a lot. There are few problems I had with it though. I will explain this below. 1. The book was much better and the movie tried to copy it. 2. The "Slamma Jamma" part of the song was removed from the movie. I don't understand why. 3. One of the characters was really loud. He's an Arab. And for some reason, he yells a lot. 4. To me, the last scenes were not that good. There were just too many silly parts in the movie. 5. The book was written like 4 or 5 years before the movie was made. 6. All the characters were not of the same age. There was no use to create a teenager in the movie. 7. People's age were not something important. Like I said, this movie is really well directed. 8. The French person who was in the movie was funny. 9. The main character that died was really stupid. 10. There were too many ridiculous scenes in the movie. Even though the movie had nothing to do with the book, it was very disappointing. I will not read the book again. So, people who saw the movie, can look at the book to see how much it was different. It was written differently than the movie. Also, the movie is a little bit slower compared to the book. In my opinion, it would have been better if the movie didn't borrow so many ideas from the book. I recommend this movie only to people who are fans of the movie and want to see the book in a different way.

The movie reflects a time in my life. I'm 18 years old. So, I have no idea what I'm going to see in this movie. It would be great if a movie would cover this period of my life and be very moving. Maybe, I would enjoy this movie. But, I can't say. If you have a single adult in your family, you may not like this movie.

Watching Slamma Jamma was like watching a better version of your favorite play. It was a wonderful journey of discovery of new friendships and memorable scenes. It is not just a soccer story, it is a story of people. It is a story about relationships, and it is a story about caring for each other. I thought that the acting was excellent, the story was just as good. And the camera work was great, for a soccer film. The scenes were well edited and the camera work was excellent. I have to admit, I was a little worried that the way the cast and the story would connect would be. well, I have to say it was not a problem. The fans will love it. I must say though, I thought the young girl who played Alexis' daughter was a little much. But, other than that, it was a wonderful film.

The description of Slamma Jamma is that it is a story about three rebellious teenagers. I would have to say the opposite is true. Slamma Jamma is about three teens who are a real peer group and all they care about is the money and the fame they gain from attending their favourite school. With the lure of becoming a rock star making them self conscious the conflict quickly escalates with great character development and real drama that makes you care about their eventual fate. The movie itself is different in many ways. The first one is that the characters are really unique and original. The second part is that the storyline is based on events that take place in three different locations, hence creating the three main characters. The third part is that this movie is really dramatic and doesn't really follow the normal movie formula. The first being that this movie is really low key and in the few times it comes to the point of having a major story to tell it never goes into full blown action with the dramatic climax. It is kept to an extent with several small scenes and they are enough to keep it from reaching its climax. The second part is the action in this movie. In the first half the movie is basically a story about the teens struggling with their beliefs. With a few things coming up about a band being held back and using their music to try and fight their reputation they follow the strict rules the school decides to force on them. The final fight scene is the real meat of the movie and it is in the final part of the movie that the events really take place. The movie itself can be looked at in two ways, either as a straight up drama or as a straight up action movie. Either way its a great watch, the acting from the actors is exceptional and the music is just as good. The one thing that makes this movie stand out is the dramatic ending, it is just a perfect ending for a movie of this kind and shows that this movie doesn't have to be preachy or trite to be memorable. Slamma Jamma is definitely a movie that you must watch. I would definitely recommend it. It is a feel good movie with a good message to it. 6.5/10

If you liked "To The River" with Denzel Washington, then you will enjoy this film with Russell Crowe. "To the River" has got two men on opposite sides of the law, but in the end they seem to come together. A guy who wants to avoid the hassle of jail and the thug who can't do anything without flouting the law. Russell Crowe is perfect for this role and is always giving the same performance. Tom Cruise is just good as always and his charisma seems to be the most important element to the film. Crowe has said that he is a British citizen and American citizenship is not really a key component to the film. Just like the use of flags in "When Trumpets Fade", the use of a British flag and its presence can be almost a main point of the film. Overall, if you liked "To the River" and enjoyed it, then you will enjoy this movie. If you haven't, then stay away.

Well, I've watched the movie twice now, the first one I saw with my younger brother and he loved it. It is basically a family's drama, as a brother of the character played by Demetrius Jackson (played by B.D. Wong) is killed in an auto accident and the sister of the character played by Rosemari S. (played by Emily Deschanel) is also killed, for revenge she recruits and we are introduced to her brother's new girlfriend, played by (Sandra Oh) But that's just the beginning of what I think is the main plot of the movie, I won't give it away, but you know what. The plot is great, a girl runs away from home to join a biker gang, which doesn't suit her, because she wants to live a normal life, her mother (played by C.C. Chase) always makes sure that her daughter does not leave home. But her lover is not willing to do so, which angers the girl and she goes to the biker gang. The story and the characters are really good and you feel like you know the characters. The problem is there are a lot of other great movies that I've seen recently that are just as good, including "Eraser", and I don't know why the heck I don't rate this movie higher. I'll rate it 6.5/10.

Mel Gibson (Alfie) is a prison guard at a "Tent City" in Arkansas. He meets Priscilla, a former inmate who is one of the star athletes at a women's prison. Priscilla claims to be a devout Christian but has no answers for why she is being forced to do this. After two years he makes her the star athlete. She's 24 and just converted to Mormonism. Priscilla is hungry for acceptance from her family, including her younger brother and step-mother. She has a lot of unanswered questions about her former life. While imprisoned she reads scriptures and is taught about her beliefs. She gives voice to Priscilla when Priscilla has the opportunity to voice her own issues in a television special. Priscilla finds solace in a Mormon temple meeting. The young women must choose between being a slave to a totalitarian leader who is forced to control their lives and. Or be forced to be a slave to what is happening to Priscilla. It's a fairly intense movie. It's the kind of movie that will make you think about it, but it's more so that. It's a social commentary. It's the kind of movie that will stir up discussion and debate about race, class, religion, and gender, but I really enjoyed it. It really shows the lengths a person can go to get acceptance from family and their community. I don't think it is a bad movie. It's a compelling movie, it is a solid movie, and it's worth seeing. It's pretty good.

So you're just getting ready for the Christmas season, but you need something to watch that's gonna blow you away? You need to turn on "Slamma Jamma", and right here it is. It's the first film ever from Spike Lee, and it's definitely a huge step up from his previous "Chopped", this is actually a very dark film, and this is his best film to date, he brings some really interesting themes, like prejudice, racism, and the plight of African-Americans. The only thing I have a problem with is the overall execution of the movie, it's not the best looking film out there, and the editing is definitely choppy, which I can forgive, but the actual storyline is not very good, you'll know when you watch it, which makes it hard to follow and also makes the film overall a little bit hard to follow. But that's just my opinion. Also I find the special effects extremely cheesy. Everything from the Japs fighting to the bloody death of the strippers are truly ridiculous, and that's not even taking into consideration the bloody GIs that later kill the n*****s. That's really just about everything that is wrong with the movie. It's definitely worth watching for the incredible performances of Denzel, and the incredible acting of the rest of the cast. But just don't expect too much, because the film is a little bit slow to get going, and you're not going to get as much as you'd like, even though it is pretty well paced. Also the film runs just over 1 hour and 40 minutes, but it's only 84 minutes and 19 seconds, and I have to be honest I was like damn, that's not right. but it's almost an hour and twenty minutes shorter than "Death Proof", and that's a good thing. It's a good thing too, cause it really fits the tone of the movie, and I could see this film probably being a little bit better than "Death Proof", cause it's a more subdued film, but "Slamma Jamma" has some amazing scenes, including some of my favorites, and it just goes to show how much Spike Lee knows about black culture. I mean if it weren't for Spike Lee, this film probably would be a non-event. Anyway "Slamma Jamma" is a good movie, I give it a 7/10, it's worth watching, but I don't think it's a perfect movie, and it's definitely not the best film of the year, but it's an amazing film and Denzel Washington is great in it, it's definitely worth seeing. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go see my former hero "Do the Right Thing", and when I'm done I'm going to make sure Spike Lee doesn't make another film, because that'll probably be the end of the film making business.

I like Bill Murray. For some reason, I'm not a big fan of his on-screen persona, and while his presence doesn't really affect the film, he's basically a very good actor. It's not as if he's leading the action, but he's not really a huge factor. It's more of a bonding situation between the twins and him as the sole person that the movie hinges on. Despite the twins' obvious love for one another, the film doesn't really focus on that, but on the friendship. The chemistry between the twins is what makes this movie work. Murray is a very good actor and the chemistry is great. There's just something about him that I like, something about the way he carries himself and his mannerisms that make him a charming, likable character. Despite his supposed darkness, Murray seems very human. Not the same as in the Sex And The City films or even Fight Club, which is the same as in the perfectly compelling American Psycho, but he seems just as human and sympathetic. The twins have an excellent chemistry. Their characters aren't as two-dimensional as they are in the first two Shrek movies, but still, they seem like they have a good sense of humour. The story is slow and doesn't always flow along with the humour. It has a few off-the-wall moments, like the scene where they make a sound for a heartbeat and the shot that they were at the prom, which is also a good sign that the film has a good sense of humour. But this film has a very slow, drawn-out story, and I don't think the film is great. I felt that it needed to be more epic, and that it took too long to get to the point where we were waiting for a key piece of information or turning on the music at the end. The third act was even slower than the second and fourth acts. But this film is still enjoyable. It does a good job of building the relationship between the twins and showing the effects of how they become closer as the story progresses. I still didn't like the way they brought in Bill Murray in this film. Some people probably thought he was pointless, but I think he was the best thing to bring it all together. If you have nothing better to do, this might be worth checking out. My only complaint is that it never really goes into detail about the relationship between the twins. It's a nice idea that was missed, but there's some decent characters in the film. And the final scene between them just seemed a little empty. 6.5/10

I loved Slamma Jamma. It's got a great storyline and well-crafted characters. The acting was good, and the plot was engaging. The background music was outstanding, as were the scenes in the court, with the real-life trainer. Slamma Jamma is one of those films that you really want to see more than once. If you have a few minutes to kill, I highly recommend that you go ahead and give Slamma Jamma a look.

Solid, enjoyable film with some spectacular visuals. No, it's not the best basketball movie ever, but it definitely does the job. And I'm not saying that to try to keep up with the standards set by others, but it's not a bad movie at all. In fact, I liked the movie quite a bit. Yes, there are some incredibly fun fights, which is quite a rare occurrence in any movie, but there are a lot of epic battles as well. And, sure, this movie is a little too long, but not that much. I was just rooting for these guys and rooting for the acting, which was pretty good. I also liked some of the role reversals in the movie. So, you should definitely see this movie. In fact, I think you should watch it until the end. Like I said, it's definitely not a "good" movie, but it is fun.

I gave it a 7 because I couldn't quite understand how I could rate it lower than that. The film, although it has its flaws, isn't in the least bit bad. I watched it in a couple of classes and all the students and teachers agreed on how good the film was. It is as close to 'real' sports as you can get. The small details of the game and how they talk about it are really interesting. One of the few minor complaints I have is that the main character is kind of too cool. His fashion sense is similar to Spike Lee's "Frequency", but he's definitely not of the same class. I don't really know what he's supposed to be, but there is definitely something in his personality that makes him seem a little different from the average college student. I think what gives "Slamma Jamma" its appeal is that it's not exactly a superhero story. Even though it's about a battle of wits, it's still an ordinary guy, trying to win over the girl of his dreams. I like that there's a real hero in the film. It's definitely the best part of the film. The film's only major flaw is the fact that the plot is fairly predictable. I don't even mind that much, but it's still annoying to have this in the film, especially during the scenes with the bad guys. However, when the hero of the film saves the girl of his dreams, the film's formula is still there. It's still a story about overcoming the odds. So, even though the film's plot is predictable, it does have some good elements. Overall, I recommend the film. It's a good story about overcoming obstacles and losing a love. 7/10

The main character in this movie is a prisoner in a brothel. Prisoner one is a little strange, but its a prisoners decision to be so. One night he gets changed for a big black guy. Prisoner two is not upset by his new skin. He was a little worried that it might turn to dark before he is released. The movie has some happy moments and at the end you find out what prison life is all about. There is a scene where one of the guards tells the old black guy to clean the cells because they are too dirty. I think it is good that a movie will use the word 'slave' instead of 'slave trader' to describe people who have sex with people who have no rights, but sold them to some people. I guess the movie was meant for the young adults. I liked the ending and the character. I think there was a little more violence in this movie than in other movies. Overall, it is an enjoyable movie. Although there was a lot of violence and swearing, it is pretty much up to your judgment.

This movie is definitely one of the highlights of the summer. It is a bold and refreshing take on an urban setting that felt very real and very well executed. The story takes place in the year 2009, the year after the tragic death of boxer Joe Louis, who died in the ring due to injuries sustained during a fight, but sadly when it was over he was not the champion. The story explores how much goes on around boxing, so much more, that it often spills over into other areas of life, even though it is not a sports movie. It is a good movie that may be a bit hard for the casual fan. If you are one of those people, and have not seen this movie, then you might be entertained by this film, and would like to see it.

I went into this movie thinking it was going to be a typical-apart from all the recent messes, being labeled as 'adult' it was actually a very good movie. A lot of the fact's were true (or at least I thought they were). The acting was solid. The story line was very interesting. I thought the special effects were fantastic and it really did have a lot of interesting scenes. The dialogue was very well written, and good. Even if it was kind of forced sometimes it still held true. The story line could have done with a little bit of a re-write, and it was a tad ridiculous in places, but overall I thought it was a good movie.

This film has a beautiful cinematography and the story of the family of Lennie R&B is rather good. However, it just goes on and on and never really finds the pace of momentum. It has a nice and simple storyline. It also has a beautiful cast. For me, Mick Jagger's portrayal of the lead role was great, and it was cool to see him in a great supporting role. Everyone else was good, but it was the cast that really got my attention. I think some of the older members of the band were just not featured enough. Just by making them into big stars in the movie, I think they really left a mark on me. I just think this could have been more of a long movie. There were parts of the film that just didn't seem to move at all. I think it was just that it got a bit long, and some of the scenes just didn't need to be filmed as much as they were in the story. If it had been a bit shorter, I think this film would have been a lot better. Overall, this was a very nice movie, and I thought the actors were really good.

After being bored with some and powerful Oscar movies that you can't have any emotional attachment to at all, there came Slamma Jamma, a movie that made you want to be a basketball player. So that's good. The storyline is pretty straightforward. The brother and sister are in love and one day they find out that the other is the wrong person. She is a former cheerleader and the brother is the best at basketball. So he chooses her to be his girlfriend. They date a couple of times. The acting is superb, the story is great. The cinematography is great. The plot, the music, everything is good. There's also a boy who is known as the "prince charming". He has a thing for basketball and he's got a basketball coach in the town where he lives. So there are several misunderstandings. But. The story is clever, the acting is excellent. The cinematography is excellent. The music is great. The storyline, the story, the story, the storyline, the story, the story, the storyline, the storyline, the storyline, the storyline. A lot of things that are important to watch on the big screen. I think that the director and the actors did a great job. The only thing that I would like to say is that the music in this movie is no good. A good soundtrack can lift the whole movie up. But this movie is good, it's great. 7/10

I have been a fan of boxing films for as long as I can remember. I have been around the rings for eight years, and never in my life have I seen more action and more good things in my lifetime. If I can't watch this film, I'll watch some oddity. We all know what this movie will be like. There will be times when it doesn't quite work, but I have no problem with a sequel or a prequel. I found myself never losing track of the character of the new champion, or watching the movie once more. The one thing I have a problem with, is the fact that the movie was too predictable. At the end of the movie I knew exactly what would happen. I mean how many other films do we see, or have to watch in our lives, where the main character knows exactly what is going to happen to her. I know all this is one reviewer, but I thought that this movie was meant to be a comedy. I know it's a action film, and you can't be too serious about any of the plot line, but really, it was too corny. There were parts of the movie that I didn't understand, because I didn't pay attention to the time line. But, I did watch this film, and I did enjoy the film, and I did care about the characters. The cast of the movie is good, although I wasn't a huge fan of the Burt Reynolds character, I do understand why he was on the big screen. But for me this film was good. I recommend this film to anyone who can handle predictable films. It was like a guilty pleasure, and I was glad that I got to watch it. 7/10.

The Mexican/Cuban connection is revealed in a different way from other Clint Eastwood films. Is it a revenge story? No, it's a story of two brothers, Ivan and Joel, who are stuck on a desert island. They make friends with the other tribe of the island, the Panamanians. The Panamanians, whom are highly religious, have strict rules regarding sex. Is it worth risking life and limb to leave their tribe for something unknown to them? Do they deserve to know that? Are they worthy of being left on a desert island? Is there anything worse than the desert? No matter what side you are on, the story is compelling. One can hardly go wrong with the performance of the two brothers (Carson) and the sister (Margolies). One of the things that draws you in is how the two brothers are gradually becoming detached from the other side of the spectrum. Clint Eastwood was quite good with the story of two brothers. It wasn't great. But one can't let that to spoil this movie. If you don't see it, there are plenty of other movies you can try.

Joe Budden (George Wendt) has moved back to his home town of San Francisco after his previous career in soccer was cut short. While attending a volleyball game at a local bar, Joe is run over by a car driven by a young woman named Marion (Holly Hunter). When the ambulance arrives, Joe is taken to an emergency room and soon realizes that there are a lot of unanswered questions about his accident. He learns that the young woman who ran him over was working for the Sports Agency through her father who has a history of illegal doping practices. It soon becomes clear that if Joe doesn't join the Sports Agency, he will be executed. As the details of the problem become more clear, the pressure increases on Joe to join the Sports Agency. With a lot of pressure coming from the new management, Joe finds himself in a whole new environment and an even bigger pressure. With a new life on the other side of the wall, Joe must find a way to free himself from his old life and begin a new chapter in his life. As I sit here writing this review, I can't help but think back to the first time I saw "Empire Records" when I was a little girl. I sat down to watch the entire thing without a single clue as to what was happening, but once I got into the first two quarters of the film, I was hooked on the story. When I saw the picture, I immediately knew that the movie was a real gem of an accomplishment. The story unfolds in an amazing way and from the very beginning to the end, I was truly spellbound. It's a real joy watching George Wendt play a very good actor. It's an even greater joy to watch George Wendt play someone who had just lost his job and was faced with an important decision. It's great to see George become a father figure to his son, a man who knows how to take care of himself. Even with all that, this movie didn't end with the athletes taking the field. "Empire Records" is more than just about sports, but more importantly about the lives of the people who are forced into situations that they don't really want to be in. It's also about the people who are forced into situations that they don't really want to be in. I love this movie. "Empire Records" is a film that any true fan of cinema would like to see. It's a heart wrenching story, it's a true film maker who's focus is the people that are involved in the making of movies, it's an incredible film and it's definitely worth the time.
