New York City bouncer Frank "Tony Lip" Vallelonga is searching for new employment after his nightclub is closed for renovations, eventually landing an interview as a driver for "Doc" Don Shirley, a famed pianist. Their first encounter does not go well, as Tony's flippant, uncultured behavior clashes with Don's sophisticated, reserved demeanor. However, Don eventually hires Tony on the strength of others' word, as he needs someone who can help him stay out of trouble during an eight-week concert tour through the Deep South. They embark with plans to return home on Christmas Eve. Tony is given a copy of the Green Book by Don's record studio: a guide for black travelers to find safe havens throughout the segregated South. They begin the tour in the Midwest before eventually heading further south. Tony and Don clash over their differences, as Tony feels uncomfortable being asked to act properly, while Don is disgusted by Tony's habits. Regardless, Tony finds himself impressed with Don's talent on the piano, and increasingly disgusted by the discriminatory treatment the latter receives by the hosts when he is not on stage. After a bar incident leads to a group of white men threatening Don's life, Tony rescues him by threatening to pull a gun on them. He instructs Don not to go out without him for the rest of the tour.

To be honest, I was very disappointed with this film. I got it on a free screening and came out expecting something a bit more heartfelt and bold. I was not quite expecting the gripping themes and themes-with-a-capital-T like some of my favourite film titles and perhaps some better performances. I was really disappointed and, like some other people here, I thought the film was rather mean spirited and that Mel Gibson's character was a racist jerk. That is all I'll say about that. I love the film. It was very serious and powerful and I think it reflects real life. The issue is very topical and relevant. It is a film that helps to point out that racism is a problem in the United States and it is not a problem in the south. I am not an extremely religious or even a particularly religious man. I know that was the case for many of the characters in the film. They all felt that they had to fight back against the hatred and evil, no matter what the cost, even if it was their own life. This is a film I will definitely watch again and again. It was a good film and I am glad that I saw it. But it is not the best of films.

I have watched this movie several times, and if I can praise it, I can say it has a great musical script, well-written characters and a beautiful soundtrack. In other words, a good movie. And as for the movie itself, it's nothing much but a nice story, with a really sad, rather subtle message and well-made, well-acted characters. But in this case, the message and the characters are not only obvious, they are all deep-rooted and powerful. If you want to know more about musicals, see this movie, it's definitely a very entertaining movie, if not more. Also, the soundtrack is great, it has a beautiful and powerful feeling.

On second thought I am not sure I really liked this film. I was surprised by the good reviews it got, but I have just never felt this way about any Tom Hanks film I have seen. I feel this is mostly due to the fact that he does not appear in this film, and it seemed to me that the story was not very developed. There was much to get into and explore in the film, but when the movie was over I could barely remember anything. This is a shame because the movie was actually a good deal more than I thought it would be. The story of the Rolling Stones changing their name, it's importance and the various ways the band achieved their goals and then all the musical greats to follow, the battle between them and the New York authorities and more, all of it was dealt with in a simple yet satisfying manner. The only real problem with the film was the three scenes of the band, which I thought were unnecessary and gave the film a somewhat negative impression. The film shows the band in all their glory, as in a Hollywood movie. However I just feel it would have been more powerful if they had concentrated more on the music in the movie. This is a very good musical film and if you like musicals you will love it.

When I watched the trailer for this movie, I assumed it would be a weak portrayal of the Black/White divide, with a cop-out ending. It was close to that but the ending was way different and far more interesting than expected. The entire movie is based on this, but I found it more interesting than I expected. It had interesting character development, along with a good story, and well-written dialog, that really made the movie. In the trailer, the director clearly stated that this was a Black/White movie, but it was not, because there was a lot of diversity throughout the film. There was some blatant racism towards whites, but not enough to make the film less. The director made it clear that he did not want to make this movie about Black/White, because he wanted to show the balance of Black/White. Overall, this is an amazing movie, that I will not regret watching.

A Broadway production of the late 1939 stage show by Kenneth Tynan (the real-life creator of the play), produced by the London-based British Theatre Company, this movie would have been quite a disappointment to a non-professional viewer (not quite a real person, of course), had it not been for the wonderfully imaginative music scores. Unfortunately, there are only a few recordings of the actual soundtrack, so if you have no knowledge of the musical, you would have to rent it from some different store, and I certainly wouldn't recommend trying to purchase it. Anyway, on to the movie itself, and as such it is a delight for all fans of the stage show. Having said that, the movie contains a few glaring inaccuracies, particularly with regard to the cast's costumes and hairstyles. The songs from the stage show are quite enjoyable, and Michael Shannon's portrayal of Alex Garland was just the thing that the movie needed. One of my criticisms of the film was that Alex Garland's private life was not properly explored. When I saw the movie, I was immediately put off by the portrayal of Garland's wife (who plays the same role in the play that she does in the film), so it's not surprising that this aspect of the film was left out. Nevertheless, despite the few errors, this film is a wonderful movie that would not disappoint a serious fan of the stage show. (All other viewers should go for the DVD instead).

After a particularly hot day, I had nothing better to do than spend a few hours with my girlfriend. That night she started telling me about the greatest movie of all time: Raging Bull. In between my sleepwalking and my boxer-sized forehead she told me about Raging Bull, which was then directed by Oliver Stone. I was about to call her a liar, but she then told me that she was excited to see it, because she said it was "the best movie ever." Since then, I've always been curious as to why she always talks about this movie. I didn't think I was going to be all that interested, but I was intrigued enough to see it, especially since I didn't really care for the movie. My boyfriend (who is not the biggest fan of boxing) is the same way. He also likes Raging Bull, and is excited about seeing the movie. I decided that Raging Bull would be the perfect time to start comparing it to other movies. I've read some of the other comments, and some of them have mentioned that the fights in Raging Bull are far from what they would be in the real thing. I would say that's not entirely true. In Raging Bull, if one of the fighters gets killed, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that the other fighter will kill him or her to survive. But because of this, Raging Bull had several fights that were only a couple minutes long. There was also one fight in which there were several fighters in a ring. The real thing would probably require a full two hours to complete. I didn't even notice the big fights that were cut from the movie. Other comments have mentioned the "don't-have-a-title" problem. I think that's not the biggest problem, but it certainly isn't the only problem. When the movie was over, my boyfriend asked me if he liked the movie. I told him that I didn't like the movie. I'm not sure that he would've appreciated it as much, but maybe he was just hung up on the title. Some movies are better than others, but Raging Bull is certainly a contender. I would recommend that you see it for yourself. The movie is amazing. It's like a real-life boxing movie, and some of the fights are so amazing that I nearly forgot that the movie was real. Raging Bull has a great storyline, and I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys boxing.

If you are looking for something on the big screen that is more lighthearted than serious, and more of an adventure than one, then this film is for you. It stars John Cusack, who is the best part of the movie, as he plays a divorced writer who travels to Europe to tell his wife he wants to get married. He arrives at the reception in a rather bland suit and tie. No better looker could possibly be hired to play the part of a married man. He is more subdued than he was in Risky Business, and he seems to be preoccupied with other things. The reception is actually for a woman who has been looking for her husband, and it is really quite boring. The lady doesn't even seem to like the man she finds him. If you are a woman, this may disturb you. However, this film is not intended to appeal to the women, and it's not very entertaining for anyone, especially the men. If you like a good laugh, and enjoy good movies, then you might find something to enjoy in this movie. I know I did.

This was a well-made film for the most part, however the story was a bit simplistic for my tastes. I will say though, that if you like Hammer movies you will enjoy it. And it may be fun to see some of Hammer's actors in other Hammer movies. But if you haven't seen these Hammer movies, then I am not sure you will appreciate this film.

I'd been hearing good things about this movie for a while. I was so looking forward to seeing it, I wanted to see it at least twice. This movie is very well made, I've seen some of the music, I know all the actors, and I really like the overall style and feel of this movie. It's well edited, well acted, and quite a bit of thought-provoking. But I was very disappointed with the ending. It seemed rushed, and what was left behind didn't really seem to fit the overall story. All I can say is, don't take my word for it. Watch it for yourself.

I was excited to see this film, as I love "Hannah Montana" and have admired Ryan Reynolds since I first saw him in the movie "The Butterfly Effect". I was somewhat disappointed. It was more a "boy meets girl" story than a romance, which I believe the first part of the film was supposed to be. The chemistry between Reynolds and Banderas did not hold up well. It seemed that Reynolds was always the one that Banderas had to push around, and I found this annoying. I also found it unbelievable that Reynolds was able to act with these beautiful high school girls. He just didn't seem to have the same "feel" for them. I felt that these two characters were completely different. I didn't find Reynolds or Banderas attractive, and I found Banderas' character pretty weak. I will admit, at times I did get a little turned on by the storyline, but I felt that some of the scenes did not really hold up. I understand that this was a film meant to be PG-13, but I feel that the dialogue was lacking a little bit. In some places, I thought the characters could have been more well-rounded. For example, the first scene of their meeting. Banderas was just trying to have a conversation with Reynolds. In the next scene, he was trying to get him to loosen up, which is fine, but then the scene continued with him wanting to go swimming with him. This was NOT believable at all. It just seemed that Banderas was "over the top" as an agent. In the end, I did enjoy the film, but there was just something missing. I give it a 7 out of 10.

Forget the aforementioned I Know What You Did Last Summer movies. Forget the "Friends" movies for that matter. Forget even the "Clueless" movies. These movies are awful. This is the best we can expect from a little genre film. Instead of a basic comedy, we get a very serious drama. While it does come across that way, it's done in a very well-done way. It's not gags, it's the real emotion behind them. It does well in portraying the emotions from both sides. The performances are very well done. If they don't have the best writing, they sure give it their all. This is one of those movies that should be in everyones collection. Some may say it's a little too harsh for a "Family Guy" type film. They may argue that a "Family Guy" movie isn't supposed to be a comedy, but I disagree with that. I do not think it is an aggressive comedy, but more of a drama, it could easily be described as an emotional, or even an absurd comedy. Though it does come across as crazy for "Family Guy" fans to dislike this movie. The film just goes as far as it can without getting annoying and dragged out. The characters have more depth and make their presence known. Even the older characters are likable and likable, it's not just the two young boys. I found the film to be a really good drama and it is quite possibly the best I have seen since the fifties. It is fun, it's got a lot of emotions, it has an excellent sense of humor, and the acting is terrific. The ending is excellent and well thought out. I love a good ending, and this film comes up with one of the best I have ever seen. This movie is not for everyone, it does not live up to the great comedy we expect from them. It has a great sense of drama and has a very strong voice in the overall effect. I recommend this film to everyone, it's a great film, I highly recommend it.

The film is a live-action version of the famed Jane Austen novel "Pride and Prejudice". The production values are excellent - wonderfully shot, beautifully photographed, captivating and captivating to the viewer. The story itself is largely set in Victorian London. Although the setting does make the story easier to grasp, this is not really a big advantage. I'd much rather have seen it set in Italy, because that would have been a more intriguing and exciting combination. The acting is simply not good enough to make you believe this is an authentic Victorian romance. If you like the novel, then you'll probably like this movie. If you don't like Jane Austen, then you won't even know who she is. The reason this works is because, unlike a lot of modern adaptations, the story itself is quite interesting and well-written. The writing is very good. If you have read the book, I would recommend you read the book before watching the film. I'm not a fan of Anne Hathaway, but I was able to enjoy the film because I didn't know anything about the book. Overall, this is a well-made film that is well worth seeing. It may not be perfect, but it's good. It's not anything special, but it's worth the money. I give it a 7/10.

Edward Norton and Robert Downey Jr. co-star as two siblings who learn about their parents' infidelity, in a very effective movie. Their mother does not attend their wedding, so both are made to wear her wedding dress. It's a modern day drama about the lengths to which we will go to find our parents' love for us, and how we can have it no matter how we feel about it.

I've seen this movie a few times now and it's a good movie. The only reason I can see why this movie is so good is because it's about a person who made his marks in life, got caught up in an obsession that led him to the way that he did. Having a heart is not something you'll find with everybody in your life. This is just another movie that gives a whole new view of what really matters in life. I didn't find the film boring, I found it interesting. The movie is a great story of trying to make it through life in order to live a good one. There are many things that are so crucial in life that we forget about them. A good film doesn't just show us the things that we don't like in life. It shows us those things that we need to live a better life. The other thing that I liked was how the movie tells us the difference between those that are happy and those that are not happy. Happy people don't worry about anything. They don't think about their own problems and they don't think about what can make them sad. They just live and live happily and don't bother about what they don't have. Happy people don't take joy in what they don't have. I found the two main characters of the movie very believable and I really liked that they gave you the same message every time they spoke. I also liked that they were not the stereotypical Asian kids who didn't care about what others thought about them. I liked that they were people who are kind, but also think about the bigger picture in life. This is also why I like how there wasn't an unnecessary sexual reference in the movie. There was no sexual play on the side of the story. If it was, the movie would have been pointless and boring. Also I liked that the main character was a person who had his feelings and didn't try to hide them. This is another great thing about this movie. The first thing that I liked about the movie is that it didn't show you just how messed up and crazy everything was, but how it could happen and how it's just part of life. If it was just about how messed up everything is, it would have been a crappy movie. I also liked that the movie didn't tell you that this was all part of life and there is a way to survive through all of it. This isn't just an advice for people. This is what life is like. If this movie can inspire people to not give up on their dreams, it's a great movie. If you're looking for a movie to make you feel better about life, look no further.

We'll take it on a date. Movie never makes a dull moment. The interaction of actors, the script, the love story. Excellent production. Perfect film. Great for family. Great for dating. Great for any date. It made me laugh. It made me cry. You should watch it on a date. You could make it better. It will make you look at yourself in the mirror.

I really enjoyed this movie. It has a few laughs, but I thought it was better than Bewitched. I think the producers should have let the main actress do a bit more. Maybe she could have worn an afro. I thought Mark Ruffalo played his role very well. It seems he can act almost anything. Maybe he should try a bit more? Anyway, I really liked it. I like all the actors. (I thought Jennifer Anniston was amazing.) I think it was good to watch the movie without a video store. I was thrilled to see the name "Alex Cross" in a scene.

I've heard many people complain about this movie. They think that since it's based on a true story that it has to be super good. And they say that while the acting is good, it's not the best they've ever seen in a movie. Well, I say that this movie is actually a little better than that. It's not great, but it's not bad either. It's the kind of movie you can watch and not think about it. I think that it's even worth buying to have on the shelf. I say that if you're a fan of Liam Neeson, or Anthony Hopkins, or the director, then you should check it out. If you're not a fan, then you might be disappointed, because it's not as good as it might seem. If you like a good movie, or even if you don't like them, I say that you should see it anyway. It's a good movie, and even though it isn't a great movie, it's still a good movie.

I agree with my fellow IMDb viewers on this one. This was a bad movie and should have been watched as an example of why bad movie comedies should not be watched at all. The plot is weak. There is no real story, it's more of a series of random episodes of Downton Abbey. It should have been a complete package with multiple parts and an ending, but somehow the people involved in this movie didn't know what to do. The performances are nothing special, except for the dead chick. There are some funny lines, but they are not funny enough. I could easily have rated it higher if they had left out the dead chick and got a better scriptwriter. If you want to see a good movie about real people who lived and have experienced great tragedy, you should go watch Citizen Cane. It is only 1 1/2 hours long and is worth it.

This is a good film, and a nice tribute to Ian McKellen, who was great as Gandalf. But all the actors do a decent job, and the supporting cast is great too. I would have given it a higher score if it was not a prequel. The three movies I have seen are more then enough, and give us good answers for the questions that came up in the first film. This is a film that could have been great, but could have been better, but it is still a very good film. That's why I'm giving it a 7 out of 10.

I don't know how anybody could look at this film and not have an opinion. I think anyone who has watched a film within the last year is going to agree with me on this. The film is really good, as I said, the acting is superb. Matt Damon is a superb actor, but I think his acting talent really shone in this film. I think he really struck the emotion of the character, and he really stole the show. He really took the movie. He really stole my heart. I love his character and I think he is a superb actor. All in all this film is very good, and I recommend it to everyone. It is not a story that is so deep it takes you for a ride. You can tell that they did their homework on the story and the acting, and it all turned out to be just right. The story is pretty much what you expect from a musical, but in a film. There is some really great dancing. And there are a lot of great songs. I think the songs are great, and the songs really light up the screen. I think you will enjoy this film. Just watch the film, and you will understand. Great films can be taken for a ride, and this film was a great ride. I hope you enjoy it, because it is a great film.

The movie explores the problem of violence in the society. Although most of the crimes are committed by children and teens, the movie also explores the problem of the adult world. It also shows the social conflicts in our society. Even though the movie is quite the film and is very interesting, it does not make it to be the best movie. I think it deserves more recognition and more time to be seen.

By the time The Jeffersons came out, few knew how charming the tale of the Jenks family would be. It did not have the best beginning. And by the end, you were all happy with the outcome. The movie tells the story of the Jenks family, a family that works on a farm, whose daughter Emily (Kiera Knightly) is always with her father, Edward (Joely Richardson), her brother Fred (Vince Vaughn), and his wife Betsy (Lily Tomlin). Emily has some hidden feelings towards her brother, and she confides in her friend Kim (Kristen Bell), a hippie. When Ed died, they decided to adopt his daughter, and they go through the stormy life of the family, as Emily works on her music and meets her former boyfriend, Eric (Peter Dinklage). However, Emily doesn't stop singing until the very end, but Ed is still her father. The movie is very charming. Although the storyline is a little difficult to understand, it still gives a good message. I loved the scenes in the winter time, when everyone thinks that they can do anything. There are some really moving scenes in the movie, including the one in the car, where Ed takes his children in for the Christmas party. At the same time, the movie can be a little difficult to understand at times, because of the strange storytelling. I don't have any problem with that, because it does add to the humor of the movie, and the movie was written by Seth MacFarlane, which is the only problem I had with the movie.
